REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
Aaron James is practicing in the areas of Litigation, Government and Real Estate and Land Use.
Aaron developed trial experience by serving two years as a Deputy District Attorney (DDA) in Multnomah County. He tried roughly 40 misdemeanor and felony trials, argued motions and presented cases to grand juries. He worked in the Felony Property Unit prosecuting identity theft, forgery and theft-related crimes. He traveled to South Carolina to attend an extensive trial skills training course for prosecutors at the National Advocacy Center.
Prior to practicing law, Aaron spent four years working for United States Senator Ron Wyden both in the State of Oregon and in Washington DC. He represented the Senator in the central region of the State, including Eugene, Springfield, Roseburg and Albany. In addition, he worked as a legislative aide on environment, energy and natural resource issues in Washington DC.
Aaron graduated from the University of Oregon School of law, where he was one of three first recipients of the Wayne L. Morse Fellowship, which recognized academic achievements and leadership abilities. He assisted the Wayne Morse Chair of Law and Politics with activities geared toward increasing community awareness in political issues.
